Cold Water Therapy is the practice of submerging in a cold body of water (Rivers, Lakes, Ocean and dedicated Cold plunge facilities) achieving Physiological and Psychological therapeutic outcomes. The science around this practice can be overhyped on social media and claims can be bold in modern trends, but this is a practice which dates back thousands of years. When done properly it can provide a potent stimulus, contributing to a strong and healthy Mind and Body. We use this for; reduced inflammation & fatigue, improved circulation, improved sense of wellbeing, (large and sustained increase in dopamine), analgesic properties and stress management/reduction. This is a practice which has had a profound impact on my life and I have seen the same in many others I have worked with. A way to come out of the thinking/ruminating mind and cultivate present awareness. Chasing less. It is my mission to spread this practice to as many people as possible so that they may reap the rewards.
